See what is possible for your face, breast or body transformation using the latest Vectra XT 3D simulation technology.
3D Vectra imaging is a preoperative result simulation technology that gives patients the opportunity to see their potential results in real-time prior to undergoing any particular procedure.
The ultimate purpose of Vectra technology is to provide a much more accurate view of the patient's anatomy and help to improve the accuracy of any medical decisions made.
First, you are taken to a private room, where Vectra takes several photos of you from different angles simultaneously. From these images, a 3D rendering of the relevant area of your body is created. The desired changes can then be simulated – whether this is a certain size and type of breast implant, particular changes to the shape of your nose or a specific volume of liposuction of your hips.
There are many benefits to performing a Vectra simulation with your surgeon. You are able to see what your results may look like on your body – which is often far more helpful than looking at photos of past patients with different body types who wanted different results. Even more importantly, it is an opportunity to communicate your goals visually, to understand what certain procedures can achieve and their limitations, and to truly personalise your treatment prior to any surgery being performed.
This technology is not programmed to display 100% accurate results and results for any procedure will depend on various individual factors. In fact, it's best utilised as a conversation starter between you and your surgeon.
Once you have the potential results presented to you, you will be given the opportunity to advise your surgeon about what you do or don't like. This will provide your surgeon with a better and more visual understanding of your desired results.
Dr Andrew Raymond uses the Vectra XT 3D Imaging System.
Unlike other simulation systems out there, the Vectra XT can combine the potential results of multiple procedures at once allowing patients to see what combining procedures may achieve. It also utilises modern lighting and an ultra-high resolution colour system that can be adjusted to capture the face region, breast and/or body.
No, Dr Raymond does not offer Vectra simulations as a separate “try before you buy” or a standalone service. There are limitations to the simulation that indicates this can be misleading.
Rather, he believes your simulation is a unique opportunity for him to truly understand the results you desire. Therefore, having this as part of consultations for patients will be beneficial for both parties, and he will discuss and adjust the simulated results with the patients personally.
Undertaking any cosmetic or reconstructive procedure can be a big decision and shouldn’t be rushed. Following any consultation, Dr Raymond encourages you to take your time and consider all options. Your Vectra images will be provided to you, to look at again in the comfort of your own home, with your family or friends. Should you wish to have a further discussion before proceeding, this will be arranged at no extra cost.
